Texting and Driving

The law that I am going to create will be used to keep teen drivers off of the street. It is extremely obvious that these young kids can not handle the responsibility of driving. From now on you must be 17 years old to drive, and must visit a 12 day course on texting, driving. This course will consist of alerting images, and 13 hours of driving without distractions. I am aware this course may take money, but it is the right things to do.

It is interesting that the use of phones during driving is very similar to driving while intoxicated. The distractions impair your driving, and concentration even more so then alcohol. It is clear that driving is a vital part of society now days. This is why I have raised the driving age only one year. Teens need to be able to realize that their life is not something to play with. When they text, and drive they are raising their chance of crashing infinitely. Driving is not a joke. Being in a three ton hunk of metal traveling at 60 miles per hour is dangerous.

This law is about safety, and alertness. Young teenagers need to realize texting, and driving only leads to impairment of driving, and possible death. The course will be used to alert teenagers of the dangers of texting, and driving. It is clear to me that most campaigns have failed. With a government intervention these kids may wake up with undying realization of the costly risk of texting, and driving.
